Portland based law firm Stahancyk, Kent & Hook was in need of a logo for their new hiring campaign Ditch The Résumé. Instead of relying on resumes and cover letters to find potential candidates, Ditch The Résumé leverages social networks and unique qualifiers to discover successful job candidates. In the spirit of this novel approach to hiring, Ditch The Resume held a contest to create its new logo.
The client wanted to highlight its unique and personal approach to hiring. It was also suggested that speech bubbles be integrated into the design to represent the firm’s substantial use of social media in the hiring process.
This logo was chosen from a pool of 75 different designs. It incorporates two connected speech bubbles, a script font to communicate the firms personal approach to hiring and a resume folded into a paper airplane to add a quirky and friendly feel to the logo.
